Carmela is a local mum of two children, Alexa 13 and Luc 7. As a life coach predominantly working with mums through all stages of the motherhood journey, she felt drawn to become involved with MVP and through her experience in this area, help MVP collect the data so needed to improve our services locally. Her daughter was born a month early via emergency c-section and her son by elective section as the condition experienced in her first pregnancy was expected to reappear. This control in her second birth made her reframe her first traumatic experience and she hopes to bring reassurance in her work with new mums who have perhaps had a similar birth experience.
