A graphic designer from the UK, Emily moved to Jersey in 2009. She has 2 children, Daisy (2019) and Aubin (2021) who were both born in Jersey.

Emily’s births were completely different experiences; the first being a medicalised hospital birth requiring an epidural and assisted delivery. The second was a natural homebirth using hypnobirthing techniques and a waterbirth delivery.

Emily wanted to be involved with the MVP having witnessed first hand some of the issues faced by the Maternity Unit as well as those giving birth and needing support in the early days of parenthood. She hopes that the feedback collected by the MVP can help make postive changes where needed as well as highlight some of the amazing care also being delivered by individuals/departments.
