The Jersey MVP is made up of a group of independent volunteers who were interviewed and selected following a recruitment process by the founding midwives.
Whilst initially the group was organised and set up by local midwives, there is now no direct involvement from anyone from Maternity Services. We are self governed and operate with Co-Chairs and a minimum number of ‘service user representatives’ that make up the MVP.
Everyone in the MVP has experience of Maternity Services in Jersey from a personal perspective. The MVP members come from a range of different backgrounds, education, careers and skills which strive to represent the unique demographic of the Island and the diversity of local service users.
